Season 1 covers the first 30 “Wool” books—the book has 82 chapters
Synopsis
The men and women live in a giant underground tank with a set of rules they believe are there to protect them from the toxic, ravaged world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the stuff of science fiction. The fans on the floor spin in the wrong direction in different episodes, relative to the orientation of the blades.
Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull air
Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 That You Need to Binge (2023). The books in the Wool Trilogy are some of the best books I’ve ever read. I was very hesitant to watch Silo because I had such a vivid inside look at this post-apocalyptic world from the books and I didn’t want to spoil it.
I think there is a structure, events, and foundation that made the books great
That being said, I’m halfway through Season 1 and it’s not as good as the books! However, most of the detailed plot is completely new and developed, filling in the gaps of things that were hinted at or glossed over. I’m glad I still have a different version of the books in my head, and the show as a fun new version.
A lot of it was as I imagined it
I have to say, they did a PHENOMENAL job with the casting and settings. But the differences make the book stand out, and I like that. This is probably the first time I’ve been glad the show isn’t exactly like the books, but I still really like the show. Well done!
