Synopsis

The Harvey sisters are bound by the death of their parents and a promise to always protect each other. Sharon Horgan (Eva) is the sister of former Irish rugby player Shane Horgan.

Eve Hewson (Becca) is the daughter of U2’s Bono. Brian Gleeson (Thomas) is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and the brother of actor Domhnell Gleeson.

After seeing Sharon Horgan in the series “Catastrophe”, I have such respect and admiration for her writing, comedy and acting that I watch everything she’s in

“Bad Sisters” is hilariously funny, brilliantly written, brilliantly acted and brilliantly directed, and so smart and so human – for better or for worse – that it immediately sticks out. There’s no real violence, no car crashes, no special effects, just very human, real drama and torment that some people do to others, smoothed over with funny circumstances and comedy.

I love this show

John Paul, the cruel husband of one of the sisters, also known to all the sisters as “The Jerk”, is so wonderfully written and played that I don’t know if I’ll ever see this actor in anything else and not hate him for being so evil in such a banal role. Watching him call his wife “Mom” for two minutes constantly…

honestly, it’s just frustrating because it’s so realistic that you want to kill yourself or watch him die

This show balances the fine line between comedy, drama and tragedy so perfectly that I have to give it a 10/10 rating.
