Synopsis
Diehard Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader Alana Higman and her family vie to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest, with the process being judged by Director of Fan Engagement Derrick. The movie was filmed on location in Independence, Missouri’s historic Independence Square, which actually looks like this year-round. The locations that served as the Higman family grocery store and Norma and Nick’s barbecue restaurant are also actual family stores.

Hallmark hyped it up so much that we were all watching with bated breath – what a huge mistake! I know a lot of people are going to roll their eyes at this review, but hey, that’s my opinion. I thought the actors did a good job with what they had to work with, but what really threw me was that the leads were sitting by the fire at the beginning and at one point they stood up and suddenly held hands…
The CGI or whatever it’s called was obviously fake
The fact that the lead actress would put so much faith in a hat was downright absurd, she was willing to give up her potential life partner for a hat – really? As another reviewer noted, it really was a flop and a super dumb flop! I gave it a 6 for acting, some parts were OK, especially the grandfather, he was nice to me.
